Heidi's litter by Django vom Team Panoniansee born 5th October 2019 October 06, 2019 05:52PM |
Heidi's litter was born on Saturday 5th October. Here is a picture of them on day 1. Noses which are pink at this stage turn black within a fortnight or so. There are seven male pups and one female pup which is unusual but not so uncommon. It is how the cookie sometimes crumbles.

Here they are on day three. They have bulked up a little now. It will take longer before their faces elongate and become less squashed.

Here they are on day five. As you can see, they are starting to develop typical GSD markings now and continuing to grow. They don't do much at this age except eat and sleep.

Day eight. Still growing. As you can see, their noses are turning black now.

Here they are on day 10. Their eyes will start to open very soon.

When they are not sleeping their eyes are now open as you can see from the one pup which is awake. Their faces are no longer scrunched up and the typical GSD colouring is developing day by day.

On day 17 now that their eyes are open and they are walking around it is much more difficult to take a picture of all of them together.

Here is one puppy on day 23. They move around a lot now so it is more difficult to take a picture them them all together.

And a fourth male puppy. If you can tell the difference you are doing well. This type of breeding produces very consistent puppies.
